My Opinion of The Suzuki AP50

I originally only bought the AP because it was all I could afford, I badly needed the transport. I have never liked scooters, I personally believe they look crap and are for all the G-boys who can't handle a clutch. But since getting the AP, my opinion isn't so generalised, the bike is easy to handle, economic to run and doesn't cost too much to insure.

It may not be the most popular scooter available, but I have smoked more popular scooters on several occasions,Katanas, Zillions and Xbr's in particular cannot keep up.

And for those of us who are not boy racers, the bike is incredibly reliable, since buying it, I have had very few problems, most of the problems I did have were down to somebody else being a prat, I've had a six inch nail in my tyre, I had the forks twisted (more on that later), and have also recently lost my speedometer, however these problems have only started occuring after the mileometer began to read eighteen thousand miles! Consideering the Bike was second hand it has had a really good innings, I had a cager shunt me into the Car in front, and the only damage the bike sustained was a bent mudflap and a cracked smashed Learner plate!

Earlier I mentioned that I had twisted forks, this was not due to an accident, it was because the local twats took a liking to the bike and tried to nick it, however experienced they are, they still never get passed the steering lock! it is incredibly strong, the downside of course bieng if you lose your keys you can't even wire it yourself!
