My Life Has Improved

Contrary to what the UK Government may tell you, cannabis does not ruin your life.

In fact, I’m constantly reminded by friends and family how much better and happier I am than I have been for a very long time. Why haven’t I been happy in the past? I was in constant, unbearable pain and lived every second of my life under the influence of multiple prescription medications.

Although the drugs were making my life hell, I felt I had no choice but to continue taking them. They were, after all, helping with the pain and the alternative was to live drug free but in agonising pain. To me, there was no choice.

In order to help with my mood, I was prescribed anti-depressants. The sad thing is, although they helped a lot, I remained a shadow of my former self. I regularly (and involuntarily) considered suicide, normally whilst approaching a sharp bend in the road, or whilst sat on a balcony.

Then, one day, I realised that I had another option. To do so, however, would be to brand myself a criminal. Frankly though, I find it hard to believe that anyone would choose to stay legal knowing that it could result in them taking their own life. I’m not ashamed of my choice, though I do resent having to break the law to improve my life.

I’m now taking no prescription medication at all, it’s not been easy and I went through absolute hell withdrawing from Tramadol. I recently stopped taking my anti-depressants, and you know what? I feel great.

My knee still hurts, though less than it did on the prescription meds. But I feel far healthier, fitter and more alert than I have in years. Nothing the Government says can ever change the fact that my standard of living has massively improved thanks entirely to my use of cannabis.

Just thought I should share my good news!

Take Action

Please, please do what you can to help others in my position. There will be those who feel unwilling or unable to break the law despite the daily turmoil of their lives, we need your voice to force the Home Office to create policies based on scientific evidence and not gut feeling and prejudices.

Write to your MP today and tell them that the status quo cannot stand.
